Email Configuration Details (Outlook/Thunderbird)

To set up your email client with TurboHost services, use the information below based on the desired protocol (IMAP, POP3, or SMTP). The server address provided below is just an example. Replace “yourdomain.com” with your actual domain name.

IMAP (Incoming Mail)

The IMAP protocol allows you to sync emails between the server and your email client (e.g., Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.), keeping your emails available across all devices.

  • IMAP Server: mail.yourdomain.com (example: if your domain is “mywebsite.com”, the server will be “mail.mywebsite.com”)
  • IMAP Username: Your full email address (e.g., youremail@yourdomain.com)
  • IMAP Password: The password you set when creating the email account.
  • IMAP Ports:
    - 143 (unencrypted or STARTTLS)
    - 993 (SSL/TLS for secure connection)

POP3 (Incoming Mail)

The POP3 protocol downloads emails to your device and typically removes them from the server, ideal for saving server space.

  • POP3 Server: mail.yourdomain.com (example: if your domain is “mywebsite.com”, the server will be “mail.mywebsite.com”)
  • POP3 Username: Your full email address (e.g., youremail@yourdomain.com)
  • POP3 Password: The password you set when creating the email account.
  • POP3 Ports:
    - 110 (unencrypted or STARTTLS)
    - 995 (SSL/TLS for secure connection)

SMTP (Outgoing Mail)

The SMTP protocol is used for sending emails. Ensure SMTP authentication is enabled in your email client.

  • SMTP Server: mail.yourdomain.com (example: if your domain is “mywebsite.com”, the server will be “mail.mywebsite.com”)
  • SMTP Email Address: Your full email address (e.g., youremail@yourdomain.com)
  • SMTP Password: The password you set when creating the email account.
  • SMTP Ports:
    - 587 (STARTTLS for secure connection)
    - 465 (SSL/TLS for secure connection)
    - SMTP Security: TLS

Configuration Tips

  1. Replace “mail.yourdomain.com” with the correct server address.
Example: if your domain is “mywebsite.com”, the server address will be “mail.mywebsite.com”.
  2. Make sure your email client is configured to use authentication for sending emails.
  3. Use secure ports (993 for IMAP, 995 for POP3, and 465/587 for SMTP) to ensure safe communication.
  4. Double-check your email address and password for accuracy.
